Army NCO Medic Training Simulation

Role: Level Designer fggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg[ Development Time: 6 months

On a team with one other level designer, I converted Army PowerPoint slides and flash learning materials into a 3D interactive learning simualtion using the Torque Game Engine at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. I completed the project as part of an internship for the Institute of Advanced Technology at the University of Texas. The Simulation teaches Amry NCO medics how to use the FBCB2, a software program used in the field. I completed the last three months of the project working part time while attending school.

I created three levels taking place in a fictional future environment. I also Modeled, unwrapped and textured 10 models in 3D Studio Max 8. I worked with retired Army Sergeants to verify the accuracy of levels and models. I Scripted 15 custom triggers, 6 sounds and 30 graphical user interfaces. Lastly, I photographed and observed live Army training exercises at Camp Bullis as a reference for simulation content.
